SONOTEC GmbH is a leading specialist in ultrasonic measurement technology. With around 200 employees, the manufacturer develops and manufactures customer-specific ultrasonic transducers and sensors as well as test equipment and measurement technology solutions at the Halle (Saale) site.

SONOTEC GmbH is a family owned business that has recently been through the succession process. The succession took place as part of a planned handover within the family of one of the company co-founders.

Since the company was founded in 1991, the two co-founders have played a key role in shaping the development of SONOTEC GmbH with visionary foresight and great commitment.

The company succession already started in 2019, when the children of one of the co-founders joined the management of the company and took over the management as part of a trio together with their father. The children of the co-founder were built up and developed into their respective roles as part of the succession process. This gradual handover was well-considered and served to ensure the continuity and success of SONOTEC.

“Founding and managing SONOTEC has been an incredible journey for me, and I look back on it with pride and joy. After 32 years, it is now the right time to pass the management of the company completely into the hands of the next generation. Both have shown that they will successfully lead the company into the future,” says the transferring co-founder.

For almost a decade, the succeeding siblings have already been active in the company in various positions. As successors, they will shape the future together and continue SONOTEC’s success story: “Our father left us a strong foundation to build on. We are ready, have accepted the challenges and continue the tradition with the future of innovative high-tech products and great employees.” says one of the successors.
